Hi! My name is Danielle Borozinski, owner of Monadnock Labradoodles. I live in New Boston, NH with my 6 year old son Ben.
Originally from Massachusetts and moved to beautiful NH about 10 years ago where I’ve put down some roots and have found my tribe. I’ve always had a passion for animals and worked in the medical field for many years prior to starting my business. That background gave me the perfect foundation to start my own business, breeding Australian Labradoodles.
When I’m not busy with the dogs or running my business, I like to spend time outdoors — hiking, traveling, relaxing at the beach, or just spending quality time with Ben.
Tell us about your business!
Monadnock Labradoodles began in 2017, inspired by my first introduction to the Australian Labradoodle breed. Anyone who knows me knows I am very passionate about The Australian Labradoodle and responsible, ethical dog breeding.
All of our puppies are raised right in my home with my family. We perform extensive health testing and temperament testing on all of our breeding females and males and focus on individual attention to the development of each puppy before going to its forever home. We screen every applicant carefully, and really focus on matching temperaments and energy levels to families, ensuring the best possible fit for both the puppy and their new home.
What does a “day in the life” look like for you?
No two days look the same. On any given day I may be taking a litter of puppies to the vet for their health certificates, assisting a dog mom in whelping her litter, driving breeding dogs back and forth for their health testing or breeding, caring for newborn puppies that may need a little extra support or working with families on how to get prepared to bring their first time puppy home.
What is your best piece of advice for people looking to start a business?
Do not be afraid. I think sometimes people are intimidated and overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. It isn’t as hard as you think and there are lots of resources out there to help.
Also, you have to be passionate about what you do. Marketing and branding is important but at the end of the day, you have to be true to yourself and believe in your product. Have a clear vision of who you are and what you want your business to be. Stand behind your product and treat customers the way you would want to be treated. Lead with integrity and your reputation will take care of itself.

What inspired you to start breeding Labradoodles specifically?
My journey into breeding Australian Labradoodles began unexpectedly during a visit to my aunt in California. She had just adopted a 12-week-old Australian Labradoodle, and at the time, I knew very little about the breed. What struck me almost immediately was how this puppy effortlessly fit into every environment — from golf courses and wineries to restaurants and shops. Everywhere we went, people were drawn to her — not just for her adorable appearance, but for her calm, friendly, adaptable temperament, especially for such a young dog.
I knew then there was something special about this breed and I couldn’t let it go. At the time, I was working for a medical equipment company and frequently traveling. I had been considering a career change — something more grounded, and ideally, based at home. I came back from my trip and dove right in. I found myself a mentor, immersed myself in learning everything I could about Australian Labradoodles, and soon after, purchased my first breeding dogs.
What makes Labradoodles a great family dog, especially for families with young children?
Australian Labradoodles make excellent family dogs, thanks to their friendly, gentle, and intuitive nature. Their intelligence and eagerness to please make them easy to train, which is a big plus for families. They have a predictable temperament, making them reliable companions who are both playful and affectionate with kids. Their adaptability and emotional intuition also allow them to connect deeply with family members, often making them great therapy or comfort dogs. Additionally, Labradoodles are allergy-friendly, thanks to their hypoallergenic coats that shed very little, making them a great choice for families with allergy sufferers.
How do you ensure the health and temperament of your puppies?
All of our dogs go through thorough health testing. This includes CERF eye exams to check for hereditary eye conditions like glaucoma and cataracts, OFA-certified hip and elbow radiographs, cardiac and patella evaluations, and comprehensive DNA testing for common genetic diseases.
We also place a strong emphasis on temperament. While raising each litter, we closely observe every puppy to identify those with social, sweet and predictable personalities, along with well-balanced energy levels.
Can you walk us through the puppy adoption process from start to finish?
Sure!! The first step is filling out our detailed application. This helps us get to know you—your home life, energy level, experience with dogs, preferred timeframe, and any preferences you may have for gender, color, or size.
Once we receive your application, we review it and Amanda will give you a call to chat about your needs, answer questions, and go over upcoming litters. If it feels like a good fit, a deposit is placed to secure your reservation. Once a litter is born and confirmed for you, we start sending out weekly emails with updates and helpful info to get you fully prepared. We’ve found that breaking things down over time keeps it from feeling overwhelming and helps families feel confident and ready.
At around six weeks, we schedule an individual video call with each family in that litter. By then, we have a good sense of each puppy’s temperament. I ask lots of questions to make sure we understand your lifestyle and what you’re looking for, and you’ll get to see the puppies on video.
After that, I carefully match each puppy with the family that’s the best fit—taking both personality and preferences into account. In the final two weeks, we continue socializing the pups, and they all receive their health certificates from the vet. At eight weeks, they’re ready to go home—by that point, you are prepared to welcome your new family member.
Do your dogs ever become therapy or service animals?
Yes! We work with several police departments that use our dogs in schools, retirement homes, and other community settings as therapy and comfort dogs. Some of our dogs also work in dental offices to help ease patient anxiety, and others are placed with families who have children with special needs, where they provide emotional support and companionship.
Do you stay in touch with families after they bring home a puppy?
Absolutely! We offer lifetime support to all of our families and have built so many lasting friendships over the years. We even have a dedicated Facebook group just for our Monadnock Labradoodle Families, where everyone can connect, share updates, and support each other.
We’ve also started a fun tradition—our annual “Doodle Romp”! It’s a great chance for families to get together, let the dogs play, and catch up. This year, we’re excited to host it at Wachusett Brewery in Massachusetts.
What advice would you give to moms considering adding a dog to their family?
Do your research. Take time to research breeds and find one that fits well with your family’s lifestyle and energy level. Make sure you’re working with a reputable breeder or rescue—someone who prioritizes health, temperament, and support.
Also, learn as much as you can about training and socialization ahead of time. Bringing home a puppy is a lot like bringing home a new baby—it’s exciting, rewarding, and yes, a lot of work! But the time and effort you put in early on will pay off in the long run with a well-adjusted, happy family dog.
