Tell us about yourself!

Hi all! My name is Colleen and I moved to Bedford about 4 years ago with my husband Thor. We have two boys Damien 7 and Thor 2 and I have two step girls Catherine 14 and Freya 12 and our dog 3 a German shepherd named Hela. I became more of a SAHM during covid after my second son was born but before that had a holistic office in Nashua.

Tell us about your work!

I’m from Boston and spent my 20s running the retail shops in Boston for Old Town Trolley and worked as a manager at the Boston Tea Party Museum gift shop. I moved from there to Salem MA and helped open a tour company there but went on to start my own business as a Medium and spiritual advisor. I went on to add herbalism and aromatherapy as well as life coaching. I also run a marketing and networking group for women in business called Bedford Wine Women and in the past have run Boston and Salem MA wine women. (events coming soon)

What are your favorite local restaurants?

My favorite local restaurants are 32 vine, friendly toast and BVI.

What is your favorite way to practice self-care?

My favorite form of self care is yoga and books.

What brought you to Bedford?

We moved to Bedford for the school district and the beep program. My oldest son has an IEP for speech and the Bedford school district has been wonderful.

What is your favorite thing about Bedford?

Being from Boston my favorite thing about Bedford is that it’s not a small town. It has shops, restaurants and community.

What are your favorite local spots in town?

My favorite spot in Bedford is the library. We are there a lot and run a Pokémon club there once a month. The staff is amazing.

What is your best piece of advice for moms who are new in town?

My best advice for new moms to the area is that social media is a great way to find other moms and groups even if you don’t like being online much. There are a lot of great groups on fb for working moms and stay at home moms to connect.

What is your best piece of advice for expecting moms or new moms?

My best advice for new and expecting moms is to trust your instincts and always find support.
