The Newborn Care Solutions Agency

About Our Agency

At The Newborn Care Solutions Agency, we bring a depth of experience that is intentionally unmatched. Every member of our team has a minimum of 12 years of hands-on, in-home experience as a Newborn Care Specialist or Postpartum Doula. This is not theoretical knowledge — it is lived, real-world expertise that directly informs how we serve our families.

As a referral agency, we are highly selective. We do not believe in overwhelming families with options. Instead, we present a carefully curated group of professionals who have completed formal Newborn Care Specialist or Postpartum Doula training and who bring a minimum of two years of dedicated newborn experience.

Our role is not simply to fill a position. Our role is to understand your family — your preferences, your concerns, your lifestyle — and thoughtfully match you with the right professional. That distinction matters.

We specialize in supporting families, including first-time parents, through the earliest and most vulnerable stages of the postpartum period. Our specialists provide overnight and daytime care, feeding guidance, sleep support, soothing techniques, and hands-on recovery assistance. Just as importantly, they bring a calm, grounded presence into your home.

With the right support in place, you are not left guessing. You are able to rest, recover, and move into parenthood with clarity and confidence. This is not about replacing parents. It is about ensuring you are supported by the right expertise at the right time.

Our Vetting Process

We are exceptionally intentional about who we represent.

Every specialist on our roster undergoes:

  • Comprehensive background checks
  • Thorough reference verification
  • Education and training validation

Beyond credentials, we evaluate professionalism, communication, discretion, and a genuine commitment to supporting families. Our network continues to grow through long-standing industry relationships, but our standards remain consistent.

What truly sets us apart is not just our vetting process — it is our ongoing involvement. We remain engaged, ensuring both families and specialists feel supported throughout the entire placement.

How We Match Families

Many families come to us unsure of exactly what they need — and that is completely appropriate.

Through a structured intake process, we ask intentional, strategic questions to help define your postpartum needs. From there, we create a detailed job description that reflects your household, your preferences, and your goals for support.

If you are ready to begin this process, you can start here:

Because of our experience and long-standing relationships, we often already have ideal candidates in mind. We then present a refined shortlist, supported by comprehensive candidate profiles that include:

  • Certifications and formal training
  • Continuing education
  • Relevant experience
  • Verified references

This allows you to make a confident, informed decision without unnecessary overwhelm.

Care Structure & Scheduling

Our Newborn Care Specialists and Postpartum Doulas offer:

  • Overnight shifts (typically 8–12 hours)
  • 24-hour care with appropriate daily breaks
  • Daytime support (4–6 hour shifts)

Most families engage support for 6–12 weeks, though we regularly accommodate both shorter and extended contracts depending on individual needs.

Every baby is different. Every transition is different. Our role is to meet you where you are.

Timing & Booking

We recommend beginning your search around 20 weeks of pregnancy, with the goal of finalizing support by approximately 24 weeks.

Early planning allows for:

  • Greater access to top-tier candidates
  • A more thoughtful matching process
  • Peace of mind as you approach your postpartum period

Investment

Our structure is straightforward and transparent:

  • A $500 search retainer to initiate your placement
  • A placement fee based on the total contract with the caregiver

Our standard placement fee is 25%. However, for members of Bedford Moms whose job starts more than 30 days from booking, we are offering a discounted placement fee of 20%.

  • Specialists are paid directly by the family

Hourly rates for care providers in the Bedford area typically begin around $35–$50+ per hour, depending on experience and scope.

Ongoing Support

Our relationship does not end at placement.

The same team member who guides you through the intake and matching process remains your point of contact throughout your entire contract. We provide continued support, guidance, and resources as needed.

Philosophy of Care

Our approach is rooted in evidence-based newborn care and responsive, attentive support.

We partner with professionals who:

  • Respect your parenting choices
  • Provide education without judgment
  • Adapt to your family’s culture, values, and preferences

We are not here to impose a philosophy. We are here to support your family with expertise, clarity, and professionalism.

Common Misconception

One of the most common misunderstandings is that a Newborn Care Specialist replaces the parent — particularly overnight.

That is not our approach.

Support is collaborative. For example:

  • A parent may nurse while the NCS assists with settling and care
  • With multiples, care can be divided to support efficiency and rest
  • Babies can be brought to parents for feeding, then returned for care

This is about enhancing your experience, not replacing your role.

In the Event of Illness or Emergency

Specialists are responsible for coordinating backup coverage within their professional networks. When needed, we also step in to assist in securing coverage.

All specialists maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications and are trained to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations. While they are non-medical professionals, they understand when escalation to medical care is necessary.

What Families Tell Us

The feedback we hear consistently reflects the impact of the right support:

“We can’t wait to work with you again.”
“Where were you when I had my children?”
“I was more present for my family because I was supported.”

These are not just testimonials — they reflect what happens when families are properly supported during a critical life transition.

Final Thought for Parents

You do not have to navigate this alone.

Building your support system is not a luxury — it is a decision that directly impacts your experience, your recovery, and your ability to be present during this time.

The right support allows you to look back on this season with clarity, confidence, and connection.
