Tell us about yourself!
My name is Lauren! I am 29 years young. I live in Bedford with my husband, my two energetic sons and our annoyingly cute animals – a little puppy and two cats. I am a 2x certified airbrush tan artist and licensed esthetician. I love all things beauty, self care and healthy skin. I have been in the beauty industry since 2018 and have loved every second of it. I love being able to educate and share my knowledge on the importance of taking care of your skin and just self care in general. After giving birth to my youngest son in 2020, I fell in love with the way an airbrush tan made me feel. I think all moms can relate to postpartum struggles and finding your individuality again.
I truly believe that self care is self love and I think we all need more of that in our lives. I think moms or anyone with a fast paced lifestyle needs to sometimes take a step back from the chaos and do something that makes them feel better, brings joy and relaxation. That is one of the main reasons I started this business, because I know I need it too!
Anyone who knows me knows I am a planner, a perfectionist, that I’m empathetic, incredibly persistent and always optimistic!
A few fun facts about me: I love my Peloton and strength training (this is my me time), mindless TV (specifically the Kardashians, Friends and The Office), I love to cook and like trying new recipes, I love date nights with my husband (yes, I love my kids but all parents deserve a little break), my guilty pleasure is chocolate covered strawberries or cannoli’s and Target & Starbucks trips (secretly, alone).

Glo by Lo is a luxury custom airbrush tanning business. I travel to you in the comfort of your home, bring and set up everything needed, give you a beautiful sunless glow, clean it all up and head out! Do you have an event? Is there an upcoming wedding? Is vacation right around the corner? Is it competition time? Are you just looking for a healthier alternative for a tan? Maybe you just love a nice glow all year round? There are no limits!
Each airbrush tan is custom to the individual, based on your skin type and what results you are looking to achieve. We can take your sunless tan up a notch with different additive options like DHA Booster Drops to help intensify the darkness of your tan or Golden Bronze Drops for a little touch of shimmer. There is scent boosters, anti-aging, skin firming and CBD serums. We finish with a full body powder application that leaves your skin completely dry with no tacky feeling!
I believe education is key to help you maintain a gorgeous glow that looks flawless from head to toe. I make sure to equip my clients with the necessary preparation and maintenance information so you get the most out of your airbrush tan. I will always follow-up with my clients to check in on your tan as development times are typically within a 24 hour window. We can also discuss the importance of proper skin health, and good skincare! I want my clients to know I’m an open book and just a phone call away if questions were to arise!
As someone who also loves to get airbrush tans, I understand that it can be a vulnerable thing for some. I want to make sure my clients feel comfortable and like they are in a safe space with a trustworthy person. That is what’s most important to me! I promise to be your biggest cheerleader and leave you with a glow from the inside out. The confidence boost you feel with an airbrush tan is unlike anything else that I have personally experienced. Sunless tanning is the perfect way to achieve a bronzed look without the exposure to harmful UV rays. My motto is “don’t lay, spray” & “tan lines fade, but skin damage is forever.”
What are your favorite solutions and products?
I truly stand by and love all of the solutions and products I use and sell. I have tested so many different product lines throughout the years and can say with confidence that the line up I offer is top shelf. Trusting the solutions and products is paramount in getting expected results and with so many options now at my fingertips, your satisfaction is guaranteed. All too many times a woman can be let down with an at home self tanner, Glo by Lo has what you need so that you’re left with a smile on your face and the perfect glow you were after all along.
My favorite spray tan solution is probably my rapid solution. I love this because it is only left on the skin for 4 hours max from the time I spray you, to the time of your first rinse. After that your tan continues to develop over a 24 hour period. I also really love adding in the coconut scent booster with a skin firming serum. Often times when your airbrush tan is developing it can have a faint smell but with the coconut scent booster you can’t smell anything but coconut. The skin firming serum is a cutting edge formula designed to tone and tighten the skin. It has caffeine extract in it to dehydrate fat cells making the skin appear smoother and more firm.
Every single product I have serves a purpose in your preparation and maintenance of your airbrush tan. My two absolute favorites are the Body Renewal Moisturizer and Tan Extender. I use the Body Renewal Moisturizer morning and night and the scent it features screams “tropical island with a piña colada in my hand.” It isn’t a heavy moisturizer and really sinks into the skin after applied. The Tan Extender is a game changer in my eyes. Essentially it extends the life of your tan. It has a small percentage of DHA in it with moisturizing ingredients to help your airbrush tan continue to look even and smooth for an extended period.
What does a “day in the life” look like for you?
Most mornings I try to get up early and head down to our gym to workout, this is my me time. I love the silence in the morning, the calm before the chaos, and allowing myself time to mentally prepare for my day. When my family wakes up it’s off to the races. My 1 year old is running around already making a trail of destruction with his toys. My 9 year old is slow to start and asks me almost every morning, “where are my shoes?” Then there’s my husband who religiously loses his wallet, his keys or forgets his phone before he’s even out the door. I know I am not alone when I say that during the day I swear I pick up the same mess at least 5 times.
After the morning “rush hour” at home, I spend my day chasing myself in circles. The dog needs to go out, the 1 year old is demanding that I read him the same book for the seventh time that hour, laundry is always staring me down… did the cat really just throw up? It never ends and a part of me hopes it never does because this is what being a Mom is all about! I know one day I’ll look back and miss the chaos. I spend a good chunk of my day confirming client appointments and doing post visit follow ups. As a mom, wife and business owner my world truly doesn’t stop. I believe all moms are superheroes! We all wear so many different hats, and that should be celebrated. I am a mom, wife, the cleaning crew, the transportation, the airbrush tan artist, the social media manager, a content creator, a product tester, the graphic designer, the customer service, the sales team, appointment setter and retail buyer. I proudly carry so many titles. Our kids and partners will thank us one day right?
When I do have clients it’s usually during the evenings. Just to give you an idea of what an appointment would look like; we start with a consultation when I arrive to you, I do a quick booth set up, customize your solution, we prep your skin, start the airbrush tan application and end with finishing powder. We also will talk about maintenance guidelines and figure out your next appointment date and time. From there you are bronzed and good to glow! Start to finish, the appointment typically takes about 45 minutes.
What are your goals for your business in the next 3-5 years?
For the time being I would like to get my name out there, build clientele and be the go-to traveling airbrush businessof Bedford! I would like to be the person who can bring the glow, confidence and convenience to your doorstep! I would eventually like to have my own space in Bedford, but one day at a time.

What is your best piece of advice for people looking to start a business?
Something I heard when I first started my business that has stuck with me is, “If someone tells you no, you’re talking to the wrong person.” I believe if you have an idea and you feel passionate about something then there is ALWAYS a way to make it happen. Write down your goals, talk about your goals, take all steps possible to work towards your goals but never settle. Always push for more and take it one step further because with that comes challenge. What doesn’t challenge you won’t change you! This is something I stand by everyday.
