My name is Lisa Peppe, and I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner licensed in the States of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I have been in the medical field since 1997. I started out as a front desk receptionist at a medical clinic, worked my way up to a Medical Assistant, then Registered Nurse, and now Nurse Practitioner. I am the owner and operator of JOIA Med Spa & Wellness in Bedford NH. I have two daughters named Deanna and Briella. Deanna is 17 years old and is a senior at Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua who aspires to study Political Science and Law in college. Briella is in 5th grade at St. Joe’s in Salem and loves to play softball and play with her betta fish Turbo!
Tell us about JOIA Med Spa and Wellness!
JOIA Med Spa & Wellness is located at the Bedford Mall Plaza inside of My Salon Suite (located next door to Marshalls). I own a suite (#109) where I provide many medical aesthetic and regenerative services. I have a great passion for medical aesthetics and regenerative medicine. Being able to offer both services to my patients is such a privilege. These services allow me to offer traditional Botox and filler type products as well as natural treatments that use our own blood (PRP) to heal, rejuvinate and stimulate regeneration of cells.
Here is a list of services:
- Botox (anti-wrinkle injections)
- Dermal Fillers (lips, cheeks, facial balancing)
- nutrient injections (such as B12)
- IV hydration (tailored to needs, i.e., sports performance, beauty & anti-aging, weight loss etc.)
- Vampire Series (these treatments use PRP aka Platelet Rich Plasma which is derived from a simple blood draw that uses your own blood products to initiate a healing response). The Vampire Series include:
- Vampire Facial (SkinPen used for microneedling combined with PRP)
- Vampire Facelift (PRP with or without dermal fillers)
- O-Shot (PRP female sexual wellness injection)
- P-Shot (PRP male sexual wellness injection- can be combined with Botox)
- Vampire Breast Lift
- Vampire Hair Restoration
What does a “day in the life” look like for you?
My days at JOIA always look different. Whether my day is filled with patient treatments or meetings or both, I make sure that I am well prepared.
Having the proper information for my patients is important to me as I want my patients to be fully educated on the services they will be receiving. Therefore, I make sure that I am well prepared, so my patients feel at ease and know that they are in good hands.
What are your goals for your business in the next 3-5 years?
My goal for JOIA Med Spa is to create a safe space and reputation where my patients will always feel comfortable and know that they will receive the best care possible. I am dedicated to enhancing the well-being and confidence of my patients through personalized medical aesthetics and regenerative medicine treatment solutions. I am committed to excellence, safety, and continuing education so I can bring forth the best and most innovative treatments for my patients. I am committed to empowering my patients to look and feel their best, fostering a community where beauty and wellness thrive.
What is your best piece of advice for people looking to start a business?
First and foremost, there is no such thing as waiting for the “perfect time” to do anything in life. Whether it’s to have a child, take a trip or open that business- one can always find a reason as to why it may not be the “perfect time”. Do not allow any self-limiting beliefs to overpower the passion you have for your dream business. I would suggest you learn everything you can about your business idea (always keep learning), build a strong support network and seek mentorships from experienced entrepreneurs that can provide you with valuable insight and guide you through this new journey. In addition, it is important to remain adaptable, resilient, and committed to ongoing learning. Fall 99 times, get up 100 times. Don’t give up!
