Tell us about yourself!

My name is Sarah Croteau and I am a local business owner and a Bedford mom.

I have lived in town for 13 years with my husband Brad and my two children Ellie (12) & Jack (10).

I am honored to be the new owner of Sol Power Yoga and can’t wait to share the space with you.

Sol Power Yoga has been part of my life since it first opened in 2016. As a student, teacher, and now owner, Sol is where I go to recharge.

Practicing yoga at Sol allows me to move my body, quiet my mind, and reconnect with myself.

It gives me exactly what I need to balance life, work, and being a mom.

I am so excited to share my passion for yoga with the Bedford community.

Tell us about your business!

Sol Power Yoga is a boutique woman owned and operated local yoga studio.

Our purpose is to bring genuine, high quality, accessible yoga to the greater Bedford community.

We offer heated power yoga classes and unheated yin yoga classes. Our classes are designed to strengthen your body, open your mind, and encourage you to create a life you love. I believe that practicing yoga changes peoples’ lives. And having a kind and supportive community to practice with is key. At Sol, we have the most amazing community and you will feel welcome and cared for the moment you walk through the door. We are so excited to be part of your yoga journey!

What does a “day in the life” look like for you?

Like many Bedford moms my days begin by helping my kids get ready for school. Breakfast, making lunches, packing backpacks, and waiting at the bus stop. Once they are off for the day, I head to the studio. I teach yoga classes several times a week, and when I am not teaching I spend as much time as I can in the studio interacting with customers, working on business development, or taking a yoga class myself. The studio is one of my favorite places to be. I love connecting with our members, welcoming new students into the space, and chatting with people about what has been happening in their lives. I also love teaching (and taking) yoga classes that help people connect with their bodies and realize their inner strength.

What is your best piece of advice for people looking to start a business?

When you start something new it can be really scary not knowing how it is going to turn out. Sometimes the unknown can prevent us from moving forward. Believe in your idea. Commit to your vision. And have a little faith. It just might work out!
