Here at The Bedford Mom we love sharing about and celebrating local businesses! This month we are excited to feature Ethical Esthetics, a small skincare clinic here in town at the Bedford Village Shoppes. It’s owned and operated by Molly Schulte, a Bedford Mom herself. Learn all about her and her business below!

Hi Moms!
I am a Bedford momma to four wild and crazy kiddos; Lily (14), Penelope (10), Jonathan (8) and Evie (5) an adorable rescue pup, Coco (2) and I have an amazing partner-in-crime; my husband Alan! We are a big, loud, fun family!
I am also a relatively new business owner in town! I am a bedford native and am grateful I have spent most of my life in this amazing community! It’s wonderful to watch my children grow up in the same classrooms that I spent my youth in. Bedford has changed a lot in the last 35 years but I believe it just keeps getting better!
Esthetics and small business ownership is a second career for me. I got my undergraduate and graduate degrees at UNH and taught high school for many years.
In my very minimal free time I love spending time with my children, going to our beach condo and drinking coffee. Coffee is everything! I enjoy listening to podcast and I am a big book nerd! I also LOVE to travel— which I will do more of someday!

Last year I opened Ethical Esthetics; a small skincare clinic here in town at the Bedford Village Shoppes. I love to help people feel good in their skin and achieve and maintain skin health.
My zone of genius is acne and age management. The vibe at Ethical Esthetics is clinical yet nurturing. My main focus is skin health but I do incorporate some elements of relaxation. I also offer a few complimentary beauty service as well, like brow and lash enhancements!
Currently, I am a solo provider but I do hope to start and grow a team very soon!

What does a “day in the life” look like for you?
This is a tough question to answer because everyday is a bit different but I can assure you — it’s always jam packed and if I’m being honest— rather chaotic! It’s not easy to be a business owner, a momma, and a wife!
By the time all of my kiddos are bussed or dropped off at school and daycare I feel like I have already put in a days worth of work! love being in the treatment room working with clients because I can let go of everything, truly focus on my client, and be of service to them and their skincare needs!
My afternoons and evenings are very busy with sports and after school activities pretty much all year round so I’m usually running around town! My husband works full time as an associate professor at Franklin Pierce University and runs a full time business here in town (Bedford Rides). Alan and I work as a team to coordinate our schedules so that we can both support our kids and our careers. It takes a lot of work to find some sense of work life balance— which I have yet to achieve— but I keep trying!
I make sure that no matter what the schedule, I’m always home at night to tuck my babies into bed! This is so important to us; it is our special time!
What are your goals for your business in the next 3-5 years?
This is probably taboo in the business world but I don’t really have a 3-5 year “plan” per se. Without a doubt I will be continuing to learn and constantly improve my skill set and knowledge base. I also plan on continuing to serve my current clients and lots of future clients. I look forward to nurturing the relationships that I have with my clientele as it’s a very special aspect of what I do. I have 150 clients but more importantly I have 150 quality relationships with amazing people. The treatment room is full of 🪄 magic and I am excited to see where Ethical Esthetics is in a few years!
What are your favorites local spots in town?
I absolutely love the Inside Scoop—they combine two of the best things in life: coffee and ice cream; what’s not to love!
I also LOVE Flight Coffee!

What is your best piece of advice for people looking to start a business?
Believe in yourself.
Manifest your future. This is the biggest thing that has helped me. I had to get rid of any limiting beliefs that I had (and there were many) and believe that I could succeed.
I remind myself of this on a daily basis.
Mindset is everything!
