Local Business Spotlight of the Month: Moin Orthodontics

Here at The Bedford Mom we love sharing about and celebrating local businesses! This month we are excited to feature Moin Orthodontics, a practice dedicated to providing an exceptional orthodontic experience from the moment you walk into their office until the day treatment is finished. It’s based in Manchester, NH and is owned and operated by Sogole, a Bedford Mom herself. Learn all about her and her business below!

Tell us about yourself!

I moved to NH when I was eight years old and have mostly lived here ever since, aside from my college and graduate school years. I graduated from Central High School and went on to attend Wellesley College. After graduating from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, I completed a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. UConn is also where I met my husband, Brandon Beaudoin, who is a dentist in town. We moved to Bedford in 2015, because we loved the sense of community and felt it was a great place to start a family. We now have two daughters, Soraya, 5, and Niloofar, 3. I love our community and proudly sponsor many local organizations, events, and sports teams. I am also active in numerous dental and orthodontic organizations and have served as President of the Greater-Manchester Dental Society. When I can make the time, I enjoy reading, skiing and spending time outside, especially at my husband’s family’s lake house in Maine.

Tell us about your business!

My father, Kambiz Moin, started practicing orthodontics in the Manchester-Bedford area over 30 years ago. I joined the practice in 2012 and am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work together before he retired. Today, Moin Orthodontics is a single-doctor practice, where we treat our patients like we would our family. I listen to the desires and needs of our patients and customize treatment for each individual. We offer a range of services including braces, in-house aligners and Invisalign and we are an Invisalign Platinum Provider. I am lucky to work with an amazing team, who shares my values and commitment to our patients. We pride ourselves on being on the cutting edge of technology. We have 3D radiographs, an intraoral scanner (which replaces the need for goopy impressions), a 3D printer, and technology that allows our Invisalign patients to be monitored remotely. Consultations are always complimentary.

What does a “day in the life” look like for you?

During the week, it’s trying to squeeze in a workout first thing in the morning, getting myself and my girls ready for school, creating beautiful smiles at work and then going home for dinner and some play time with my family before bed.

What are your favorites local spots in town?

Flight Coffee Co., Café Pressed, Joppa Hill Farm, BVI Tavern.

How can people connect with you and follow your business?

Our website is www.drmoin.com and we are on FB and Instagram.

When is the best time for a child to visit an orthodontist?

What many people don’t realize is that the best time for children to have an initial orthodontic consult is at seven years of age. While most children will not need treatment at this age, there are certain issues that if not addressed early, will be difficult to treat later. Initial consultations are complimentary, as are follow-up visits to monitor growth and dental development.
