Tell us about yourself!
Hi! My name is Molly Schulte. I’m a busy—once Type A, now Type B—mom of four, book lover, and skincare enthusiast who’s always working to find balance between family life, running a business, and the little things that bring me joy! I’m married to a gem of man; Alan Schulte, owner of BEDFORD RIDES, a local transportation company. Currently, we have children at Riddlebrook, McKelvie, Lurgio, and AT BHS—so we are well spread out! We also have two amazing pups, Coco and Arlo, who we absolutely adore!
Tell us about your work!
I’m an esthetician and business owner with locations in Bedford and Nashua, NH. here in town I own Esthetics Esthetics at the Bedford Village shops. I absolutely love what I do! My passion is helping people feel confident in their own skin by focusing on optimal skin health—whether that’s through customized facials, acne treatments, or simple skincare education and product curation. I really geek out on all things skin!
What are your favorite local restaurants?
Lately, I’ve been loving The 1750 Taphouse, and for something sweet, The Inside Scoop is always a favorite!
What brought you to Bedford?
I grew up in Bedford in the 1990s. I moved away for college and early family life, but when my husband and I had children, we knew we wanted to be in a community that prioritized education. That brought us back to Bedford a little over 10 years after I left—and we’ve been here ever since!
What is your favorite way to practice self-care?
As a busy mom and entrepreneur, quiet time is essential for me. Anything that helps calm my nervous system, busy brain, and overactive body feels like a gift. I love getting a facial or massage, taking a bath, and of course, curling up with a good book. Exercise is also a big part of my self-care—it gives me energy, clears my head, and boosts my endorphins. A total win-win!
What is your favorite thing about Bedford?
I love the welcoming community and the perfect mix of small-town charm with great local businesses and big-town conveniences. And as someone who grew up here, I know firsthand how strong the schools are. I feel so blessed that my children get to experience the same quality education that shaped me.
What is your best piece of advice for moms who are new in town?
Get connected and get involved! Bedford families are deeply invested in the town and in our children’s future. There are so many opportunities to meet people and build community—take advantage of them so you never feel like you’re doing this alone.
What is your best piece of advice for expecting moms or new moms?
Give yourself grace. 💕 Lower your standards—it’s okay if you don’t shower until 4 p.m., or if you spend the whole day in pajamas. It’s okay if your baby isn’t signed up for music class, swim lessons, and storytime at the library all at once. You don’t need all the gadgets or fancy baby gear. Take it one day at a time, accept help when it’s offered, and carve out little moments of self-care when you can. Looking back, some of my favorite memories from early motherhood were those simple, messy, early days.
In closing, we hope you enjoyed reading this article about Molly! If you’d like to nominate a Bedford mom to be spotlighted, please submit your nomination via email to info@thebedfordmom.com. Thanks so much!
